Is artificial intelligence an opportunity or a risk for leaders? It was on this theme that some thirty leaders met in the premises of R\u00e9seau Entreprendre Paris<\/a>, on November 19, to debate the multiple issues related to AI. <\/p>

How does artificial intelligence limit human sensitive capacities such as intuition, courage, and empathy? Helene Le Teno<\/a>, president of HLU, questioned our speakers\u2014and the participants in small groups\u2014about their experiences related to AI.<\/p>

Some excerpts from our round table discussion are below:<\/p>

“AI is the masterpiece of scientific marketing. Algorithms only have the meaning we give them. Beware of a return to scientism! Only real-world experience can verify the relevance of algorithms.”

“Algorithms shouldn’t replace humans. We can waste money for years if we’re not working with relevant use cases. AI has only one mission: to enhance human values \u200b\u200band creativity.”
Aur\u00e9lien Fenard<\/a>, Director of Digital Transformation and HR Data at France Travail<\/a><\/p>

“For lawyers, many of whom are resistant to algorithms, these tools are designed to free up valuable time. Many cases of burnout are linked to a lack of time in the profession.”
Jules Touzet<\/a>, PhD candidate at the CRDEI laboratory \u2013 Centre for European and International Research and Documentation<\/a> \u2013 and co-founder of Haiku (formerly Clerk)<\/a><\/p>

“It is essential for leaders to know their values \u200b\u200band who they are. Intuition often makes all the difference in projects. Cultivating empathy and acting with courage is essential.”
