“Values \u200b\u200bare the energy that guides action,” explained Carine Dartiguepeyrou<\/a>, president of Uniqueness and the Values \u200b\u200bObservatory<\/a>. “Leaders don’t always know what’s important at any given moment in the company. Understanding their values \u200b\u200bhelps them achieve greater consistency, facilitate conflict resolution, and address issues of succession.” <\/p>

“Among the values \u200b\u200bof the leaders who have taken the From Heart to Action journey since 2021, we frequently find the search for meaning, ethics, and planetary ecology.”<\/p>

\u201cKnowing one\u2019s values \u200b\u200bhelps us choose the leadership style we want to embody,\u201d noted Mira Draganova<\/a>, Global Managing Director in charge of Transformation, Strategic Planning, HR and CSR at NAOS (Bioderma – Institut Esthederm – Etat Pur)<\/a>. \u201cBy understanding other people\u2019s value perspectives, I understand how they make decisions and I can better work with them. I created a methodology applied to decision-making to highlight the ethical dilemmas that regularly arise in companies (for example, wanting to minimize environmental impact but choosing to launch a cheap\u2014and less environmentally friendly\u2014product to increase sales).\u201d <\/p>

\u201cIt is fundamental to question one\u2019s values \u200b\u200bbefore acting as a leader,\u201d reminded Cyrille VU<\/a>, President of SeaBird<\/a> and founder of SeaBird Impact<\/a>. \u201cAt SeaBird, we have become a mission-driven company. We must reconcile philanthropy and economics, which are wrongly separated! It is this logic that is leading us to disaster. Pure virtue is the principle of evil, as Claudel said.
