Some forty managers from Strasbourg attended the breakfast organized by HLU, in partnership with Serue Ingénierie, on November 6.
“We need to know the difference between “data-driven AI”, which is fed by very large quantities of data (only data, but no know-how), and “knowledge-based AI”, AI developed on specific business know-how (much less resource-intensive – employs models and reasoning),” explained Helene Le Teno, President of Heart Leadership University.
Sacha Goepp, co-founder and co-director of Plus que pro, emphasized the importance of the executive’s responsibility in choosing the uses of AI: “We’re experimenting… and the executive’s courage and intuition are needed more than ever!”
“For me, there is no such thing as Artificial Intelligence; only humans are endowed with intelligence. My 8-year-old daughter sees a cat just once to be able to recognize it, whereas an AI needs to see it 100,000 times” noted Alina Holcroft, CEO of ETHIQAIS.
Stéphanie Grotzinger, vice-president of the CJD Strasbourg, reminded participants of the need to secure employee control and access to databases and open-access tools.
A rich and constructive exchange of views to help managers make the right use of artificial intelligence without losing the intelligence of the heart: intuition, courage and empathy!
