HEART LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY, a registered association whose headquarters are located at Chemin De Vachères Lieu-dit Bel Air, 04110 Reillanne (hereinafter “HLU”) is the data controller for the purposes described below.

What data do we process?

In general, the data that is processed includes identification data (name, surname, contact details, structure), data entered in the content of your contact request, as well as data relating to your areas of interest, payment of registration fees and outstanding payments, your journey, and your donations.

Information collected by HLU that is essential to fulfill the aforementioned purposes is identified by an asterisk on the collection forms. If you do not complete these required fields, HLU may not be able to provide the service in question.

Your data is collected directly by HLU or may have been transmitted to us by our partners.

Who has access to your data?

Within HLU, the personal data processed is primarily accessible to staff responsible for operations, communication, and information systems security.

Outside of HLU, your data may be shared:

  • To IT service providers (external providers for IT maintenance purposes, for example)
  • To subcontractors involved in external communication (routing, etc.)
  • To the members of the Scientific Council
  • To the financial partners
  • To HLU’s institutional partners responsible for research, fundraising, etc.
  • To the participants in the program

Subcontractors acting on HLU’s instructions will be required to implement appropriate safeguards.

If some of HLU’s partners are located in countries whose regulations do not necessarily offer the same level of protection as those of the Member States of the European Union, HLU will ensure that these transfers are carried out in accordance with the provisions imposed by French regulations (such as the implementation of contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission). How long do we keep your data?

The personal data processed by HLU is stored in accordance with data protection regulations and for the periods stipulated by law.

For example:

  • Data relating to the management of agreements linked to the implementation of the program are kept for the entire duration of the agreement plus 5 years.

  • You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.
  • You have the right to request, at any time, to exercise your right to object to the processing carried out for reasons relating to your particular situation.
  • You also have the right to object, at any time and without giving a reason, to external communication
  • You have the right to exercise the right to data portability, which gives you the right to obtain a copy of the personal data concerning you or to transfer it to a third party in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you or significantly affects you.
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where the processing of your data is based on consent.
  • You also have the right to make instructions regarding the retention, erasure and communication of your personal data after your death.
